Home in Holland
Dutch society has traditionally been a melting pot of many nationalities. Many people from the EU and further afield have found their way to the Netherlands, and this includes those of Polish nationality. Finding a place in the labour market in the Netherlands usually does not pose much of a problem for most people from the EU. They are familiar with the way the Dutch labour market works and the provision of information is increasingly well organised.
However, the situation is different with the housing situation for most EU nationals working in the Netherlands. Most of them rent and/or live in accommodation which, by Dutch standards, is uneconomical or under poorer conditions.
It is a little-known fact that you can also buy a home in the Netherlands, and that banks and insurers will offer you finance. Also little known are the opportunities offered by the Dutch tax climate (under certain conditions, interest may be deducted from your taxable income).
Even so, many people have preceded you and by buying their own home they save a great deal of money compared to their former renting situation. An important aspect too is the fact that you have a place of your own and can build up some capital (through any profit you may make when selling your home).
Our firm specialises in assisting you in the purchase of your home and providing you with the right advice. We do this working closely with an expert estate agent and a civil-law notary.
